OK. I guess I am the "party pooper". Let's face it; people who buy Mirages surely take fuel economy into consideration. The price of fuel does not really increase or decrease people's interest in the car. Mirages will get the same fuel economy regardless of the price of fuel.

That's the problem, they should be concerned . They haven't fallen on hard times yet, those type of people complain that gas is so High but they don't wize up and buy a car that gets good Mpg,s they have had it easy , but Thir day is coming

I'm crying about 2.50 a gallon here locally with my Mirage! I love being able to afford to go distant places but the increased fuel prices cause me to drive less or consolidate my trips. I don't know why people spend so much on gas every week. I used to spend 40-50 a week on my Jeep and I never left the county. If I drive around town in the Mirage and don't leave the county I use about 10-13 a week, and if I do drive out of town its 13-20. My gas savings helps pay for my Mirage, also the reliability factory is very important when driving with my daughter.

Alex16,,,, I agree so much with your post!!!! I guess depending on our age we are use to cheeper gas. I have a truck and camper and we went for a short distance camping trip, about 130 miles each way I spent over 100 BUCKS!!! Just to go camping!!!!!!! That's TOTALY a RIP OFF!!! When years ago my parents went camping all the time!!! So that's why it's SO Smart no not smart for two LOL to have a mirage to go a lot farther in a trip

It's funny... I have talked to 3 different Mirage owners recently (yeah I'm that guy who will follow you and then ask about your car) and all 3 bought the car simply because it was the cheapest new car with decent features. The great MPGs were just a bonus. I think even with gas prices lower, Mitsu will continue to do well.

    Ha! I do this too.

In that case, there's only upside to future Mirage sales. People who wouldn't consider it now will consider it as fuel prices creep back up.

Right now I am in Norway, and 95 octane fuel costs the equivalent of US Dollar 7.22 per US gallon.
By the way, Norway is known for its enormously rich oil fields.

Basic, that's me two . I thought the car was cute and I liked that it was brand new and all of what you get for the price! And that it was small and a four door
