That is a great find motormontreal! Thanks.

Is there a good/easy way of perhaps putting some plastic up/around the electrical connector to prevent water from getting to it?

Mitsubishi has their own mats now I believe..
There was a set in the loaner I had. They look like weather tech but have Mitsubishi embossed in and no weather tech badge.

That's actually enough reason for me to drop the money on Weathertech mats. Also, WD40 would be good for existing water contamination, as WD means "Water Displacing."

    + 40 Tries lol

Used it on minnows, read about it in some fishing magazine people were spraying them with WD40. "Fish oil"

Any pictures of the front floor mats?

I am tempted to contact weather tech for a floor mat group buy!

    Simple solution to my opinion:
    1. i'm using rubber floor mat anyway ... so less problem i think ....
    2. Plastidip the whole floor up to the wiring. If you're scared water will go into the circuit, dip the whole circuit connector in a plastidip liquid solution.
