Thread: No 2016 mirage? (redesigned 2017 Mirage coming instead)

  1. #21
That sedan news tidbit is out-dated, but the hatch info is bang on from what I've read in the last few months.

I would expect to see spy shots or pics of the new hatch/sedan styling from Southeast Asia sooner than later, since the car has a much bigger fan base in that part of the world. One place to watch is http://www.paultan.org

I was wondering if one of the reasons for no 2016 would be the retooling of the Ford factory in the Philippines to produce the Mirage and move production of the Outlander from Normal, IL to Thailand since the Thai now have a few years of manufacturing vehicles.

    Nice.

I want one. If there were a Mitsu dealer near me, I'd be bugging them for their old Mirage stuff.

I've got several stacks of 2014 brochures and accessory options haha, the manager at my dealer is cool, he is throwing aside all of the Mirage stuff to be thrown out in the closet, he said once it gets half full he will call me or let me grab what he has collected at each visit.

Cyclopathic , thanks for the post . We're considering the sedan . Seen where they're capable of getting gas mileage close to the hatch . Hopefully they won't have issue with the rear axle related to the alignment . Test drive of G4s' with automatic and manual , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEiYksxRNJc .

    "2017 and beyond"

I fired off a question about the lack of a 2016 hatchback to Alex Fedorak, Mitsubishi USA's PR manager, and he says:

We're skipping the 2016 model year but there will be a 2017 and beyond. Both the hatch and sedan will be hanging around for quite some time. You can share that publically.

I think your members will welcome some of the changes we have made.
Of course, no details yet on the timing or what changes we'll see in the 2017 models. (Besides the new front end styling, that is.)
