Low Fuel warning (gas gauge flashes well before empty)

Saw this, guage was flashing one bar... Got to gas station... Showed no bars and flashed. (No, I do not do this often... Son had the car last). Only took 8 gallons to fill up... So still had enough gas to keep fuel pump active and lubricated. Notice the no miles listed on distance to empty screen.

lol, I see that all the time (well not the massive "P," but the fuel gage flashing with no bars), most I've ever put in was 8 and a few tenths, that gage is wildly conservative.

    The tank capacity is 35L

The empty bar like this starts flashing at about 28 L used, it's that conservative lol.

Damn, so basically I should be able to drive for at least another 180 km?

The Dutch manual explains 35L tank, flashing block indicated 6 liter left and flashing without the last block when 3 liter is left over

I think the most I've put in was 8.15 gallons, and that was after the gauge was doing the full flash for 20 or 30 miles. I believe the tank is supposed to hold 35 liters (9.5 gallons).

Oh how I hate digital gas gauges.

Looked back at my fuel log, largest fill-up: 8.61 gallons. I was actually kind of worried, what with the gauge blinking at me for quite some time, IIRC I was like, "8.6 gallons, wtf, you had me thinking I'd be walking any minute," lol. I now mostly 'ignore' it and look at my tripometer.

Then it's not true what the manual says. 29 liters fill-up was when it flashes with no blocks at all ... for a while (around 25 km flashing without any blocks)

I'm resetting the Trip A every fill up as well, check on it everytime
