You're not wrong - but Oct was more of a return to normal sign-ups. Mid-summer to early fall was unusually quiet around here.

I still don't see any here on the Southern Oregon Coast since the closest dealer is 120 miles away, no surprise really but it's nice we're getting new people.
Same here! Still don't see them often enough in my little city.

HA! I just shared the same theory with Daox yesterday. I think we should have a new thread to speculate about the 7G Mirage... I'll start one.

Thread: What might we expect in the next generation 2019 Mirage? Micra platform Speculation!

    November

    US:

    - Mirage sales up 32 percent over last November at 1432 sold.
    - Spark sales continue to wilt (See post #1)

    Canada:

    - 294 Mirages sold
    - that's the first time it has beat the redesigned Spark since it came out. But year to date, the Spark is winning in Canada (its best year ever). Micra sales are down (2nd lowest month this year) but it's still dominating @ 662.

2016 was 4th year of increasing Mirage US sales

1555 Mirages sold in the States last month, which makes 2016 the 4th year of sales growth:

    • 2013: 2935
    • 2014: 16,708
    • 2015: 21,515
    • 2016: 22,226

Will the trend continue for 2017? If gas prices go up as expected, it just might.

Overall, Mitsu had a good year (as most automakers do when the economy is strong):

Annual sales of 96,267 are the highest since 2008
Total sales recorded for 2016 were 96,267 up 1.0 percent over 2015, marking the fourth consecutive year of annual sales growth for the brand.

The Chevy Spark handily outsold the Mirage again. The 2nd half of the year was strong, owing to its 2016 redesign. Spark sales over the same 4 years:

    • 2013: 34,130
    • 2014: 39,159
    • 2015: 32,853
    • 2016: 35,511

Well I did my part. I bought a 17 lol. Damn I hate the spark. Fn toilet and it sells more.... That's it Mitsubishi. Make the 15's standard and sell it for 10.5k ...... Blow government motors out the water and be done with it. I hate gm like I hate Bank(rupt) of America. Both companies should be toast

One problem Mitsubishi in North America has is that GM had the 20% rebate on some of its Chevys. I saw a mid level manual transmission LT trim spark for $12,499 and it has sat radio, pw,pl,pm, cc, tilt, huge infotainment screen, back up camera and 94 hp! All for 12,499....others were discounted similarly. Spark drives nice and fun handling car.
Mitsu has longer warranty and slight edge in mpg. Im still not sure what to buy yet. But im glad Mitsubishi continues its growth in sales. Ive owned an EVO, Galant and Lancer GT. Love the brand.

Go to the Spark Forum and soak up some of the misery there. See if that helps you make your decision.

At the end of the day, the Spark is still a Daewoo.

    January sales

Supposedly January is the slowest month for car sales.

U.S. - better than last Jan...

1311 Mirages sold, which is actually up from a year earlier.

Mitsu's overall sales were up as well, which is no small feat Lots of people are speculating we've passed "peak auto sales" in the current economic cycle -- more than a few companies are starting to see falling sales.

    Canada - worst month ever...

98 Mirages sold.Ouch! Only the car's very first month of sales was lower, and that was a partial month.

that's a bummer. not a good sign. almost everyone I know is tapped out, even for a cheap car. I blame the unbelievably high house prices in part.

for other readers: check out the Vancouver real estate prices sometime. but make sure you are not drinking anything at the time.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I would expect this financial situation to contribute to increased sales of our favorite little economy car.
