I did indeed measure 24.5 inches floor to wheel well, exactly the same before and after. The rear doesnt bottom out like it did before over speed bumps. I managed 80mph on the highway with the dangerously squishy ride gone, much less roll during cornering, so much so that the front now begs for a similar mod. Its firmer but nothing like a modified car, Id describe it as close to a normal car.

    Added to stickies

I hope it's okay that I added this to the following stickies:

Mirage Modifications, Customizations, and DIY list

Wheels, Tires, Brakes & Suspension Sticky Index

Well done Caramanos2000! Thanks for sharing this with the forum. We all look forward to hearing more, and seeing more photos of your work.

One question. The two springs look to be different lengths. I'm glad that these springs have improved the ride of your Mirage, but I would be concerned that the new springs would be too short and at risk of falling out of position. Do you have any measurements?

im just wondering, how come that it still has the same height even if changing from what it looks like a shorter springs?

The Yaris spring may be shorter, but it's stiffer than the longer softer Mirage spring. Let's say the Yaris spring is 11" before installation, but settles to 9.5" after the weight of the car is on it. So the Yaris spring settled 1.5". The Mirage spring is 12" before installation and it too settles to 9.5" after the weight of the car is on it. So the softer Mirage spring settled 2.5" compared to 1.5" that the Yaris spring did, yet they both are now 9.5" and maintaining the same exact ride height. However, the Yaris spring is still stiffer overall, so it will be a stiffer ride, since it will compress less easily than the softer Mirage spring. I think I used stiff too much.

so umm... did you check full droop??? because.. like eggman and i both stated earlier, your truly risking your life if you didn't, and that looks entirely too short.

you also have your spring in backwards, btw

It's how far the wheel will drop before hitting the limit of the shock absorber extended all the way out. Since the Yaris springs are shorter length but it still has the Mirage shocks the axle could drop so far that the Yaris springs could actually pop out.
