Getting a 2017 Mirage G4 sedan (Mitsubishi loaner). Questions?

I was in touch with Mitsu Canada yesterday and am happy to report I'll be trying out a G4 sedan for an extended test drive in a couple of months.

It'll probably be the top spec trim with CVT, going by the way media fleet cars are usually optioned.

While I prefer manual in my personal cars, I'd actually like to spend some quality time with a Mirage with the CVT, since that's what most people buy anyway. So if that's what it comes with, fine with me.

Are there any questions you want me to ask Mitsubishi about it?

The last loaner I got a chance to drive was a base 2014 hatchback with 5-speed:

    UPDATE:
and here's the G4 "review" thread:

I could certainly do that. I also have an urban route in my little city where I've recorded the fuel economy of more than a dozen different cars. I'll run the sedan through it too.

Until then though, there will be a lot of crickets in this thread. Couple of months wait...

Just bumping this thread to say:

Any questions you want me to ask Mitsubishi about the car? I have a few, like:

    - Why aren't they competing on price directly against the Versa sedan? Low price sells.

So, question for Mitsu: "WHY SO UGLY?"

ask them about the gearing and if there's any changes implemented or planned.

    Good idea.

My guess: I don't think we'll see gearing changes until they come out with a more powerful engine. Then we may have future options for MPG-gearing for the less powerful engines.

My question would just be why can't you make Cruise Control standard. Literally the only reason I had to buy a 5MT ES instead of a DE.
