With the newly announced $3500 rebate and some dealers discounting up to another $1K on top of that, it almost doesn't make sense to buy a used one (at least not in the US). Some of the used prices I'm seeing aren't significantly lower than what I can buy a new one for right now.
I've been on the fence for a while, but that extra $2k of rebates they just kicked in will be enough to get me seriously looking now. A DE 5-speed should be in the low $9K ballpark now, and an ES 5-speed should be a bit over $10K (not including sales tax). This is probably one of the few times that it's worth buying new over used.

Wowzers,
I want to thank you guys for encouraging me to wait. I was seriously about to buy on the last days of February and would have really been mad at myself if I had pulled the trigger.
Also I was looking at a used 2015 from a private person for $8500 but even that deal is not as good as a new one with the $3500 rebate.
Thanks Dontee for the heads up.

With that kind of rebate with the 10/100k power train warranty on new, one of those rare times that buying new makes more sense if you're inclined to keep your Mirage for a long time (which seems to be the case with most people on the forum). Never going to get any better than now. If I could do it I'd pull the trigger on a second one in a heartbeat.

And check out this guy:

He just put that Ad up today. He must be in cuckoo land if he thinks he is getting $8000 for a crashed mirage with a rebuilt title
EDIT: 2 days later the price has been reduced to $5000

Hey Everyone I dont lie. Im not a typical sales consulant. Just found out Officially that $3500 Rebate, can actually be $4000 Rebate, With $289 of mark up from MSRP to Invoice you could legitimately get these cars priced out way under what you can find a used one for. Good luck buying the 15s up. 17 hit in one month
There is no I in team. But there is a PU in group and you guys stink.....

And the big rebate can be applied to the base car, not just the top level trim? (That's the usual fine print in my experience.)
