Sucks. So the hill holder is a " safety" feature? What's so safe about it shattering my brakes when I release quicker then the hill hold does? Yikes. Im on my way into the dealer. Told them i don't want it back until everything is fixed on it and Mitsubishi authorizes a disablement of the hill hold.

How would this shatter your brakes?

I stand corrected, ABS is separate from the other systems.

My brakes are making all kinds of noise like they broke after the hill hold didn't release the other night. Made a loud pop noise then terrible brake noise like when you drive off with frozen brake drums in a tractor

Does the HSA engage even on a flat road?

Anyone know if it can be disabled ?
Do you suppose this might be related to snowy weather? I don't know, maybe it's not the Hill Start Assist that's causing this.

Now that you know an easy way to temporarily defeat this using the handbrake, try using it and see if it makes any difference.

I wish this could be enabled in ETACS, for my manual transmission.

Maybe. Or 2 seconds is 1.75 seconds too long for a professional truck driver...
