HVAC heat blows warm/hot on drivers side, cool/cold passenger side (warranty issue)

Some owners have reported significantly cooler air on the right side vents when using the heater. (That's the passenger side on LHD cars.) Mitsubishi has replaced some heater cores under warranty for internal corrosion.
