i am also considering on doing that. it will eliminate some lower body vibrations and a bit of insulation.
But most of the road noise comes from the wheels/tires from the impact to the ground...
no rubbing issues at all , then again, my tires are 175/55/15

I just upgraded mine to an entry level PIoneer coax, it's way clearer but i underestimated the HU wattage output. I should have gotten a much better speakers than an entry level. The speakers...

To be honest, my mpg did went down with the wider wheels. But I can still maintain above 40mpg. Maybe on a good day, 45mpg at the most
After changing the wheels and tires on the mirage, the handling had improved drastically.
The factory wheels and tires are just tiny, slim and soft which caused it to have so much body roll.

i got the factory alloy weighted, it was approx 27lbs total wrapped with 165/65/14 Dunlop Enasave
