For me, my Mirage ES hatch 2014 has been a good car for 6.5 years. Except last year when I spent 75 hours at the Mitsubishi dealer getting my car fixed. I think the 2015 onward Mirages are what Fummins keeps saying: simple car, non-cramped under the hood. Simple car for 2nd world countries, more than Canada or the UK. So on our roads the Mirage looks a bit ridiculous. But like the reviewer said in the Japonik article, the Mirage's interior is really nice.
Interior is plain, but simple and functional. When I first got my Mirage, my friend said there is no chrome in the car or any on the exterior.. all black. This makes the interior feel even more modern than the RVR rentals I have had in the past, or the Lancer Sportback interior I had, looked way more dated.
My Mirage replaced my 1998 Ford Escort wagon, so yes Mirage is much more than a 1990s backward mobile.
