Dude, that's from too much Ubering.
Yes lol 26k miles
Defective or unusual use. My wheel looks good at 30K. But my leather shift knob is wearing out way to fast. Even with hard use, your wheel should not look like that.
Yeah it feels like a $40 leather jacket, don't think the leather is real haha. Oh well once it gets rough I'll look for a replacement and pay the $200 to get it wrapped in genuine leather.
Mine has worn 'shiny', as is to be expected at 28k, but is not flaking. Do you wear rings or something?
What's the various steering wheel covers out there? Let's count the ways.
1. Thick fur steering wheel wrap
2. Leather steering wheel covers
3. Tennis racquet grip tape
4. Hockey stick tape
5. Duct tape
6. Stair tread non-skid traction tape
7. Bicycle handlebar tape. Lots of varieties there.
8. Bicycle tire inner tube
There's got to be more out there.
Nope no rings, just wearing like that. I'm going to roll with it, vacuum the flakes up as they fall.
The wheel is wrapped in real leather. It's the same wheel that is used in the Outlander Sport.
