Interesting read. One of the more positive reviews I've read recently. I still find it entertaining about the 0-60 times. As for the prices, it's crazy how some Mitsu dealers will actually have deals that will cut off close to $1000 to $3000 off the suggested retail price (depending on what deals they have)
My new 2017 Mirage was discounted $4921 off the window sticker. If I had qualified for a couple rebates, it would have been less. The car was slightly less than 66% without the added rebates. Car reviewers fail to point out these cars can be bought new for way less than window sticker.
Many new vehicle purchases can be negotiated for less than MSRP. It's a problem when a journalist or potential buyer compares numbers - MSRP is all they have to go on. Rebates might be comparable, but a negotiated purchase price is not inherently advertised.
Know what? That's the 2nd review of the Mirage GT by cars.com in the past couple of months. Wonder what's up with that. Same reviewer, I think...
Yup!
