Can someone help me??
Not sure if my battery got drained. Becoz my key fob doesnt work to lock unlock the car so i opened the car via key.
No lights, no alarm, no dashboard lights all none even the headlights.
The only reason i can think of was my amplifier it was left open.
i just couldnt make my car to start!! :(
Your battery has apparently discharged for some reason. It's possible that your battery is bad...OR you left something on in your car....OR your amplifier (or some other device) is draining the battery when the car is off.
- Charge your battery.
- Have the battery load tested to verify it's OK.
- If you think it's related to your amplifier, pull the fuse (or power lead) going to the amplifier and let the car sit overnight.
- If your car fails to start again after sitting for a long period of time (because the battery is dead again), you may have to do a parasitic draw test to check for abnormal electrical drains on the car while it is not running.
Great analysis Top Fuel. The only thing I can add is the possibility of a failed alternator which is pretty unlikely.
Hey mitsumi how's your new headlights? Do you think they might contribute to this?
Mitsumi you should measure the battery with a voltmeter first so that you can have at least an idea. Then you can follow Top Fuel's suggestions.

i got it working now. I had to bring the battery to a car batt. store near my place. Lucky me!
But i'll still have to monitor it, if it drains even if the amp switch is off.
I never had any other mods lately only the HID.

not sure if the HIDs. Whenever i turn it on i dont noticed any dimming of the dashboard lights etc. But i just cant identify since im not good at electricals.
anyways i'll update this thread if anything happens after charging the batt and leaving the car for a week without use if it drains again

Though you got things working for now, your battery won't last as long as it should after being fully discharged.
