Worn out seat
Had a car come in complaining about the seat back digging into their back. Car has 260xxx kms/161xxx miles(not that it matters a lot) Sure enough the foam is split and pushed back. Needs a new piece of foam aka new seat. I don't tear seats apart everyday but these ones seem pretty cheap there's only one spring going side to side on the back rest and it's near the bottom. So the entire center of the seat is just a piece of foam that's wrapped around the sides to the rear and glued.
I have good news though, they're easy to tear apart.

Reminds me that I still need to do the lumbar support mod.
Here's your photos from a different angle...

Oh and there is a zipper. It's on the bottom lh side tucked up, and it's installed with the graber handle towards the inside of the seat. The bottom of the cover is just clipped together. It looks easy to change the side airbag with it opened up, unplug the bag under the seat and either 1 or 3 nuts appear to hold the bag to the seat.
I'll post some more sideways pics later

I don't know if anyone posted about replacing a seat before or not but it's only 4 bolts and 3 plugs(if you don't have heated seats). 12 mm head on rear bolts and 14mm(9/16") on front 2 nuts. One plug looks like it might be for a seat position or weight sensor on the front rh side of the track, another for seatbelt buzzer, and the yellow plug for the seat airbag. Call me careless but I didn't put unhook the battery, wear an ant-static strap thing or even a wear my tinfoil hat when I unplugged the airbag. Just don't turn the key on when the seat is all unplugged or you'll have to get the codes cleared.
Airbags are kind of idiot proof so that when you unplug one they have a spring loaded metal tab or wire that jumps the two wires of the bag so you can't accidentally blow one off with it unplugged.

When I installed my heated seats from a wrecked G4, the drivers seat was bent from the side impact and I swapped the covers and heater pads onto my driver's seat. A pretty easy process actually. Your notes will be helpful for anyone in the future. Thanks!

Had the same thing happen to my seat. I just found a replacement one at a wrecking yard.

I already notice a bit of loosening of the seat material on the drivers side. Seems a bit premature for 13k miles.
