Heck Yeah. I spent time here daily for a couple months learning what this car can do from regular folks who we're using the Mirage in the real world. This is a fantastic resource, as this information can't be found anywhere else.
Thanks to you Administrators and all you Members
Cool!
Thanks for the replies, guys. I added a poll to keep track of responses in this thread. (Go click it, if you don't mind.)
Hell ****ing yes.
That is all.
@Metro mpg
I've been following the forum since sometime last fall when I was researching my future purchase. Bought the Mirage (Lucy) Nov 18th and immediately wanted a sway bar. I missed the first group buy in late Jan but was happy to see another one going on. I had to jump on it :)
Now I need to get around to uploading some pics
Bumping this thread for new members who might not have seen it.

No, Sorry I didn't find the forum till after I bought the car. I was simply looking for the best mileage/price ratio available.
This forum helped make my choice in buying a 2015 Mirage ES. I am very happy with this car. I bought the manual transmission (wanted to keep the cost at a minimum, and I enjoy shifting my own gears).
So because of you people, I bought myself a Christmas gift which turn out to be a Mirage 5mt, which is the base model here in Quebec. The car has not arrived as of yet, I shall take delivery during the week and as soon as I will have try it, I will post an update.
I decided to buy my Mirage back in 2013 after following this forum for 6 months looking for bad reviews.
I still love driving my pink mobile and it continues to give me a safe and comfortable drive.
I't's summer here in Australia so the air con is working well. I still get 5 litres per 100km.
Thankyou for this wonderful forum.
Mirage Forum is among my favorite places & it had much to do with my Mirage 2014 purchase.
Update: 10 "yups", 2 "nopes" and 3 "sort ofs".
Thanks for the replies so far.
Metro,,,,, even thou I got my mirage before I found this forum If I didn't mine would be a yes!!!!! But I'm so happy to be a part of this forum! And hope it has an impact on others to join and buy a mirage
Found this Forum after buying it.
The forum was a significant influence in buying the two Mirage ES's (2014 and 2015) we own.
This forum was certainly a influence, after seeing all the negative reviews I had to see what actual owners were reporting.
Alex16,,,,, more people need to do what you did. Instead of listening to ALL the NEGITIVE CONSUMER REPORTS that slam a good car!!!!!!! True every car has con,s of things people don't like. In fact when I Frist saw and heard about the mirage the size of the engine the cvt . And if I would of read the consumer reports I would of not bought one based on that. But I checked the car out and tested it my self and when the hefty sales man was riding in the back seat and the mirage did so well I was SOLD on the mirage and Realized that about 95% of the Negitive reports were false and Bia. So people need to go ck
Out the car and realize that Mitsubishi mirage is a Very good deal and a 10 year warranty ! And the price!!! You can't Beat that!!!! Go Mirage Go
I found this forum after I bought the car. What convinced me to get it was the fact I could get a cool color, a manual transmission, and a small basic car with good mileage. There isn't much else like this car in the US market.
I already had my heart set on it before I joined, since it was an easy transition from my last car. I was planning on waiting a while and buying a lightly used one to save money, but circumstances led me to buy one new.
Tinker:):) your so wright!!!!!!!! More people need to do the same! That's what this car was designed for is a cheep car with Great gas mileage and to top it off a 10 yr warranty !!!!! People need to wake up to a good car like we have.
Technically, I didn't, since I bought my car even before the forum went online. I influenced everyone else to buy it instead! :D My owner review thread is the oldest one on this site!
Thank you !!!! for being one of the first ones to promote the forum and the Mirage!!! And Metro!!!!!!! You two have been the Founder and back bone to this forum!! And has helped more people wake up and buy a mirage!! Thank you GO Mirage Go
reading all of the reviews here definitely helped me in my research.
I researched the Mirage for months. Reviews in US & elsewhere, owners' short reviews on sites like Edmunds, body design, how the CVT works (neat), gas saving WOW . The forum gave me an ongoing sense of what it's like to own/drive a Mirage through a section of time. I even wanted some of the mods forum members make (before getting car) then:"Oh wait I don't have a mechanical bone in my body." The camaraderie, variety of voices and opinions, good sense, everything about the forum appealed to me. And still does. So...yes my Mirage probably came home because of the forum. Thanks.
I haven't bought one due to lack of job and funds but I do intend on buying one. Did this forum influence me? Yes, it did but I wanted the Mirage even before I found this forum for its MPGs, size, price and features. All the competitors could not match it at its price point.
The forum just solidified that decision further and made me want one even more. I enjoy reading about everyone's experiences, the car's history, its technical specifications and how Mitsubishi is going to push the Mirage next! Its only going to keep on getting better and better!!
Davidricardo86:) well I'm glad you love the forum and the Mirage. We hope you stick to your guns and go and get that Mirage. Keep us posted
Bumping this thread out of curiosity. Lots of new members since the last post.
Yes! Because this was the very first forum that pops into google hehe. but anyways before i did register to this site i saw the DIYs and the mirage reviews, and thats where i decided to get a mirage.
I had actually been very interested in the car, the inline three seemed cool and I liked that it didn't look like a cartoon car like other subcompacts like the spark. After reading about them on this forum and seeing how much every loved them I decided to go pick up my new Mirage
Metro,,,,, even thou I bought my Mirage Before I joined. I would Still Say a BIG YES !!! To the forum!!! It is a Big asset to buying a Mirage!!! I try to tell everyone about the Forum!!!
forums like these are becoming a big part of the research that I do for buying new cars. I used a forum to help research the Honda fit before I bought one, the same goes for the F150 and the Toyota yaris... and of course my mirage.
Yes, it did help me a lot. I was looking for a new car over two years and decided to save money to buy a car like the Honda Jazz Hybrid, Toyota Yaris Hybrid or the Audi A1 1.0 TFSI. But all this cars are difficult to get for a test drive, if at all available to buy.
Then I found out, that the Space Star is a really good designed car - very good crash test results all over the world, best fuel economy of its class because of highly developed aerodynamics and low weight. And it costs almost half the price of the other cars on my list with the same features I wanted to have in the car. Since I compare technical specifications and look for advantages in detail, this forum gave me all the infos I needed and didnīt have before.
There is a very good forum for hybrid cars of Toyota in German language, too. But since the users are really honestly they agreed with all the disadvantages I found for the Yaris Hybrid what made it even easier for me to turn my back on this car.
This forum, like the Daihatsu forum or the Toyota forum is full of users who really love their cars. Though the cars might not be perfect for everybody, they have clear advantages over their competitors, making them to insider tips. And I love the features of this forum like the garage and the fuel economy log.
Yes, and it all started way back when Metro started talking about the Mirage on Ecomodder.
I was Driving this 81 rabbit diesel at the time. I still have the car and it only has 178k miles on it. Now I am probably going to put it on craigs list and let someone else enjoy it. only thing i did to the car was paint the rims lol. I use it like a truck and where it is parked on the picture is now what i call MOSO hill. I have planted lots of moso bamboo there hoping it will grow. i know for many the Mirage is the modern metro, for me its My rabbits replacment.
Thanks for reading, Don
Yup yup ....retiring my 2002 insight!

I love your Rabbit diesel !! I had two of thoses Great cars . They run for along time.
