Never too late to learn!
While not the cheapest, I found a 2020 5 speed with 18,000km for $11,000(cad) on facecrack. I don't get the 45Hp part, but Camrose is a small town so what do you expect.

I still need to find a dead engine/transmission car for my drivetrain collecting dust in my shed... but all the cheap stuff is long gone anymore.
Sounds like a logistical pita.
Yeah, I'm in worthless Illinois. He's somewhere in Canuckistan. Would be an absolute hell to bring a car here and overly costly to get my drivetrain to him.
I wonder how this is going? They don't give out sticker for license plates out here anymore. Renew and you just get the registation card. Get a new plate and you get a plate with no stickers...
I think I found this car again^ looks like it's been driven a little and back up for sale for $3500 now. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details...dId=1586169916
Found the same car again for $4000 lol

Found a brand new 2020 Mirage ES 5 speed at one of two Mitsubishi dealers here in Oregon.

Granted it's not marked down but who knows if they are motivated to unload a 2 yr old manual transmission subcompact? I've never had any dealings with this stealership other than a few phone calls in the past that left me less than impressed. As far a manual transmission Mirages go, this may be one of the very very few new ones left on the West Coast.
