Fuel economy seems similar, but right now I'm still in the break in period... lots of varying speeds.
Is it an SE, or the lower end version G4 with Apple Car Play?
I'm positive it doesn't have apple car play - it has the same stereo that my 2015 had, with the big knob for volume, and actual buttons. No touch screen. There is a bluetooth button to the right of the traction control button, and I've tried pairing my phone with it, but I can't think of when I'd use it.
I looked at the window sticker. It's apparently an "ES".
You're correct. There aren't any steering wheel controls.
The salesman claimed it didn't have Bluetooth, and tried to talk us into one that did, but the wife and I were both united in saying "We dont need it". It was later when we go it home that I noticed a blue phone button. Wife and I have just had too many friends hurt or killed by texting drivers, we refuse to use our phones behind the wheel.
Reading every post above has me wanting a '17 G4! It sounds like a lot of the little complaints I have with my '14 have been eliminated or improved upon. Except possibly that damn rear axle.
I can state the differences between the 2014 and 2017 hatchback models are substantial, and all of them strike me as positive changes. I can't see why Mits would allow the G4 to continue production without improvements when they have the evidence in hand from the hatch.
Mine is a '14 and I haven't driven the '17/'18 hatch or G4 yet. I've heard the improvements since 14 are noticeable. Just curious, but what are the significant differences between the new hatch and G4? I assumed they both have the same improvements.
