If they just replaced the muffler then removing the resonator and running 2” pipe from the Cherry Bomb all the way out the rear of the vehicle should make lots of noise

If it was a 5 speed I'd say take a look at least. With the CVT unless the seller could provide some maintenance records (at least 1 fluid flush) I'd be wary.
Mitsubishi patented the Mirage spoiler for some bizarre reason.

The longer you can slow down by staying in the highest gear possible with no throttle input, then the longer the DFCO (Deceleration Fuel Cut Off) works.
Here's a thread devoted to it:

Absolutely correct, doesn't matter if you have the 1.2, 2.0, 2.4, 3.0. They all take the same filter.
I've chirped about it before but I use the Baldwin B1431. Largest filter that will fit I've found without any clearance issues in the Mirage and it sure makes oil changes nicer since you can grab...
Adding a aftermarket transmission cooler or a lower temperature thermostat certainly wouldn't hurt. High temps are the death of CVT's.
Good to see ya still around Johnny. My 2015 ES (which was the top trim model then) has been trouble free since purchase in June 2015 and now has over 90000 miles on the clock. Other than normal...
Welcome to the forum!
The Penticton / Kelowna region certainly has exploded in growth this last decade.
That's +10hp for sure!
That's what I thought but I wasn't sure if they shoved a CVT into it towards the end.
The Micra doesn't share any common parts with the Mirage except maybe the JATCO CVT. There just isn't any profit in small cars and here in North America we only seem to like fuel guzzling pickups...
Welcome to the forum!
Saving money is always welcome here on the Mirage forum! After all I'd like to think we drive Mirages because we're a frugal bunch. So giving out valid info on how to save some of our hard earned...
Makes sense since the 3A90 1.0 is basically a "square" engine (bore and stroke are the same). I'm sure it loves to rev but probably not a lot of torque or power below about 3500rpm I bet.
13% failure but in the context that they’re driven like they are stolen (or at least like a rental).
Yes, you are correct.
Just make sure they understand it's only 3.2 quarts for the oil change. There have been instances where shops & even a Mitsubishi dealer have overfilled with 5 quarts.
When the shop removed the center console to do the insulation did they break (or unplug) the really small wire that goes to the keyless fob reader in the center console. That wire is very very thin...
I specifically bought the Mirage because I had owned a bunch of Geo Metro's in the past, along with a Colt in the past and the Mirage is the 21st Century version of the Metro (at least to me). The...
Just turn the key to the start position and hold until the engine starts and then release. You don't need to touch the throttle and you don't need to to leave the key in the "On" position before...
Yes you can flood a Mirage and the owner's manual describes it. If the OP's Mirage is run so little and just basically idling then my vote is to drive it with a little authority for awhile.
Here is a old Euro accessory brochure.
Previous generation Mirage / Colt
