I sure hope the Corolla GR stays around for a while then. I can't imagine a small Toyota without a manual option.

No more MT Corolla, what is the world coming to. Kinda interesting that the performance GR Corolla, however, only comes in manual tranny, and has a turbo 3 cylinder of all things.

Are they selling them in the States?

Chintzy looking car imo, if I spent the money I want my sports car to look like a sports car. To each their own of course.

You can't even buy a new Corvette with a Manual Trans.. People vote with their wallet & if no one votes (buys) for a Manual, the Manufacturers will stop supplying them... If you want lots of choices with Manuals, you will have to get all your friends & Relatives to buy cars with them, but no body will, thus they are disappearing... Sorry......
I didn't know what to do, so I didn't do anything

    You're stating the obvious.

I don't know anyone (outside the forum) who likes driving a manual except me. I'd rather have a Miata with a manual than a Corvette anyways.

Mazda is one of the few companies that's not using a CVT in any of their vehicles. When it comes time to buy something else in 10+ years, my money may go that direction. A lot can change in the meantime. The market seems flooded with high tech, over priced junk to me.

Americans don't like driving manuals, except probably those people who buy Miatas, and other cars like that. Not sure why. I betcha Corvette Stingrays from the 1960s were mostly automatics too. Nothing new. Hopefully you can still get imported cars with manual, like a Mini Cooper, or a Miata, or a Lotus sports car.

It's too bad manuals have gone extinct like dinosaurs or the dodo bird. People gotta be more alert with a 5 speed when they have to do something to keep the car moving.

Keeping more alert = safer roads. I know that one of the local drivers ed schools used to offer manual training, but that was back in the late 90s.

I assume most motorcycles are manual

Too hard to text, eat and apply make-up while driving a manual.
