Top mount looks challenging, makes me appreciate my Evo layout. Have you thought about rear mounting the turbo? Really more mid mount in this car. The muffler is pretty large midway and maybe the resonator could be a muffler location.
Rear mount was certainly a consideration. There was a few advantages I could see in such a layout that led me to consider it. However, because this vehicle is daily driven, and has to live through Canuckistan winters, I feel that dealing with scavenge pumps and having to run air intake and charge pipes so low could impact reliability.
At this point, mounting the turbo behind the engine where the factory cat sits is still the preferred location.

Makes sense. I'd you we're putting the turbo in the rear may as well put a motor there too.
