    Im sure fake plugs exist, just printing some text on a random sparkplug and putting it in an old OEM box is enough to fool most people. If you had a spare spark plug you could probably tell if its fake by measuring the hardness of the tip. maybe something like a nail file would do the trick but this would probably require you to sacrifice a real OEM plug to compare your results to.
