Unless a vehicle is highly discounted, I prefer a 2-4 year old model with lower mileage.

I wish I could say I've lost money on only 35 cars

I have to believe the disappearance of the Fit, Yaris, Micra, etc... is impacting the resale value of small economy cars. The Spark is already scheduled to disappear. If the Mirage were to disappear, what's left?

If someone wants a smaller, more affordable economy car in the future, they would be stuck looking at used vehicles. Given the economy & current gas prices, small cars holding their value better doesn't surprise me. Someone who would have never given a small car a thought a couple years ago may consider one today.

I hope the latest trend in North America reverses & some small economy cars return. I don't want an EV to be my only option. I am not slamming EV, but don't make the only choice be a Chevy Suburban or an EV.
