    15x7 + 35

I just picked up some 15x7 plus 35mm wheels from vms racing. I dig em they look like weld magnums. I also picked up 195/50/15 tires..and four 3mm spacers (just in case). Will they fit ? My mirage was declared totaled so im picking new one up Friday. Its not a black edition but wine red with effects kit. Over years ive had seven but never one dolled up..even once a GT with oem kicker box. Id love to drop it and * I have new rs-r springs..will tire wheel combo work with the springs and or without the drop springs. I know 38 offset would most likely be ideal from what ive seen but I gotta try it.Chime in peeps..chime in ! If worse comes to worst ill just not drop it but gosh id like to. I spend a lot of time daily in these things and a lil rake would be nice.

I'm not an expert on tire size fitment and drop. And I've not seen a Mirage yet with extreme negative camber. You might look into that, you may be the first to do it on a Mirage.

Since you already bought these items, I think you are best prepared to answer your own question.

You'll have to share what you think once you mount them.

One example lists 15 x 8 rims with 165/5015 tires. That's one narrow tire on a wide rim. I almost wonder if that's a misprint? A smaller diameter tire (21.5") like that wouldn't interest me either.

I like the charm of the narrow tires on a Mirage. It's cheaper if I keep telling myself that, too!

195/50 will rub in the rear. Depends on your car as to how much. Mine was only with people in the back and big bumps. Others have stated they rubbed with no passengers and over tiny bumps.

185/55 is the factory 15" size and from all accounts has no issues.

The +35 shouldn't be an issue

165/65r14 (22.4" diameter) & 175/55r15 (22.6") are the two factory size tires that come on a Mirage depending on the trim level.

For anyone newer to the forum reading this thread -

175/65r14 (23") & 185/55r15 (23") are two very common alternative choices to factory tires. They both offer slightly larger diameter & many, many more tire choice options over the two factory tire sizes.

Like Basic already shared, these alternatives do not seem to create any concerns/issues. That has not been the case every time 195+ wide tires come up on the forum. Some have had issues.
