Be careful, I am not sure what version radio comes in Europe (or the rest of the world) but I doubt it is exactly the same! No SiriusXM outside of North America anyways and yours probably comes with DAB would be my guess.

Thanks for the warning. I hope I got the right version. There is no information on the radio. I found it in Netherlands.
By the way, I hope you/we will obtain the diagram/wiring schema by some miracle Thank you again.

    Mirageman38,

Is the Mirage SE OEM headunit from model year 2017 or any trim level 2018-20's objectively better than 2021 as there more options/setting/feature to navigate?

The more I look at the headunit from past model year with the touchscreen, the more I see how basic is the current gen headunit. Yeah big screen is nice but perhaps too vanilla? 🤷*♂️

    Thought?

I haven't gone through all the settings on either, but there seems to be more on the 2021 for settings (if you don't consider Sirius XM and Carplay objectively better). All I ever had to do on the 2019 was adjust the clock and add a bluetooth device. The only feature that is very different is the dimmer when you turn the headlights on. The 2021 was adjusted terrible from how I got it way too dark at night, but it has settings to fix this.

Yes, the 2021 loses the buttons on the right, but the software on the screen can do the same functions and the screen is probably slightly bigger. I like that this radio has the same orange color scheme and flashes the Mitsubishi logo so it looks stock on the 2019.

By the way does anyone know that port where the SiriusXM goes on the europe versionSpacestar67 posted is? Is that for DAB?

The JAE ports came in today, also the microphone came in last week. I am still waiting on the mono 3.5mm mic lead female port to attach to the JAE port to come in to finish the mic cable. Also, the prior year usb to normal usb came in. I hooked it up today and with both usb adapters and carplay is working via the OEM usb port now on my 2019. I will update again when the remaining parts come in.

Made an adapter cable using the header and mic I linked earlier. The sound is a bit on the quiet side. There is no settings to adjust the volume of the mic on the radio that I can find. I attached the mic to the steering column.

Not sure if the normal car mic comes with some sort of pre-amp or is just a different type of mic. At any rate I ordered a 12v amp to help boost it a bit that is coming in and I will add it to the adapter. The current setup is better than no mic though. Mic line seems to be the third pin over from the left as can be seen in the picture.

I am trying to add a rear view camera. Do you know the pinout of the rear view camera connector ?
Does Alpine send you some documents with the head unit ?

    Thanks,

    Hi Atomebr.

I'll have exactly the same question A Space Star 2022 on which I want to add an original rear view camera. Mine has same SDA ( Alpine ) with same connections.
Second connection from the right top should handle that as I'm right but there is already mounted a connector from which I don't know where the other end is ( I expected that in the trunk on de left side somewhere ) maybe you found out how/where cable harness ends add rear to connect camera to ??
First pic, my SDA, second the harness in the trunk of the car.
Though from start on SDA connection is there I can't find a connector on the end to connect the camera to.Name: 4dc4c6c0-b99d-4099-aca2-af7fadf8d7f1.jpg
