    Rubber grommets for air filter

The air filter on my mirage was rattling, and getting worse. You could hear it inside the car, it almost sounded like it had a rod knock at idle. The rubber parts put in place to keep it from vibrating had worn down too far.

I have a 3d printer capable of printing flexible materials. So I printed up a set out of TPU and installed them about 10,000 miles ago. Here's how they looked when I changed the spark plugs Saturday:

I don't know if anyone else has a rattly air filter, but this seems to be a decent solution.

Mine are worn, i wouldn't mind replacing these grommets.

Sell me some! They're discontinued apparently.

    OP - I'm not seeing a picture.

I popped mine lid off a day or 2 ago just to see if it was dirty. It was not. Gaskets were fine. However, there was a dragonfly (dead) in there about the size and shape of a B-52 bomber. The dragonfly still had a smile on his face, easy to see the smile he was so big.

He was so big in fact, he was cutting the airflow off to the engine. Now I'm betting I get down the drag strap AT LEAST 2 seconds quicker!

I've never sold anything over the internet, let me see what shipping would cost. It only takes an hour and a half to print them.

I'd like to get a few sets out there and see how they hold up, wasn't there a forum member who had a fleet of these little cars?

    You're thinking of Fummins.
