When should i get my A/C system recharged - Anything else I should be looking at?

I have a 2015 Mirage. I purchased it around 2 years ago. Currently has 62000 KM on it.

When I first got it. the first two times I changed the oil (every 5k km) i also had the transmission fluid changed.
(They don't have the tool to flush it here.) They also told me it does not have a filter.

I am about to change the front pads and routers. The routers need to be changed more than the pads.

But my question is about the A/C.
It still blows cold. It blows A LOT colder when driving on the highway especially compared to idle.
Since it still blows cold. (I feel like it could blow colder at Idle) I am wondering if I need to have it recharged?

Or should I abide by the old saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it."

Also. I want to baby this car as much as I financial can afford to.
Is there anything else I should be doing maintenance wise?

Just a couple things, your CVT has 2 filters. 1 strainer in the pan & a cartridge type on the side. (and a couple magnets to catch fine steel particles)...

The A/C will be cooler @ highway speed as you have 60MPH air moving over the condenser but @ idle, you only have what the cooling fan can move. I think your fine...
I didn't know what to do, so I didn't do anything

Also if you have it set to fresh air(outside air) it will feel much cooler moving at 60MPH compared to idle.

What those guys said is good / true. Unless it gets so warm at idle you can't stand it, you're probably good. There's no good way to know if your A/C system is charged with refrigerant properly, without doing a complete evacuation and recharge. It's not a bad idea. But me? If I were going to have someone else do it, I would a) only let an A/C repair specialist to touch it, and b) have to find some place that I 100% trust because I would be concerned with some place trying to play games.

So, I think you'd be fine to run it like it is. Besides, I thought it stayed cold year around in Nova Scotia...
