OP you and I are car twins. I too have a 3rd gen infrared Mirage. Yours looks 100% cooler! How's your mpg? Any mods for the seats? I added some high end ($80 each) memory foam seat covers. It really makes a difference. It's crazy one of the seatcovers I bought was more expensive than two 175 65 r15 $37 tires I used to run on lol.

My two sets of Subaru Forester rims aren't even 7" wide!

You mean the stock steel wheels, no? I'm sure it's on the forums somewhere. I'm not a great searcher...

    They are about 14 lbs.

A steel wheel + 165-65-14 Enasave is 27 lbs...and the tire weight is 13 lbs. I found these numbers in some old thread from 2013.

    Quote from you -

    "A 165-65-14 Enasave on a 14 x 4.5 steel wheel weighs 26 pounds.
    A 175-55-15 Yokohama Avid S34 on a 15 x 4.5 aluminum wheel weighs around 31 pounds.
    That's a 5 pound (19%) increase in weight."

    taken from post #9 of

I would agree, however, the factory steel rims probably weigh somewhere around 13-14 pounds.
