No assistance 1844,
Happy holiday, nice meeting you.
Is the change tires going to affect mpg?
Hi everyone,
I’m going to pay a deposit for my 2023 Mirage GT in Vancouver BC Canada.
Is there anything I should pay attention? This is my first time buying a new car.
please consider checking out my Mirage related youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6c...IEViRFw/videos
Yes, Corolla could be a good choice, but it’s more pricey and less mpg. I’m driving 300 km a day. Those numbers would add up. I was considering Corolla hybrid and Prius, but they are too pricey, plus the wait time is 18 months.

If you're doing mostly highway miles at higher speeds, I highly doubt the Mirage will be that much better in mpg than a Corolla.
If you haven't test driven a Mirage & a Corolla at high speed, I would seriously consider doing that before forking over any money.
I bought a brand new Mirage because they were $7,500-9,500 (depending on what rebates you qualified for) at the time. That was 5-years ago, however. If a brand new Honda Fit could have been had for under $10,000 OTD back then, I would have one of those in my driveway. The same for the Corolla. If the price of a Corolla (even a base level one) was only a few thousand more than a Mirage, I wouldn't own a Mirage.
I really like my 2017 Mirage ES manual, but that's only because it was cheap! I could have bought two of them back then for the price of one today (US market). A Mirage must be affordable, reliable, & economical for me to be interested. If you remove one of those three things, I would pass on the Mirage. Given today's pricing of a Mirage, I wouldn't buy a new one. I wouldn't rule out a used one, but I would be back looking at other Honda & Toyota options at the same time.
I haven't made the effort to compare the Canadian prices of new cars. I would test drive & compare regardless of where I lived.
Unless the market changes, I don't see myself buying another new vehicle in my lifetime.

Thank you so much for your advice, appreciated.
I will be mostly driving it in city doing deliveries.
2023 Corolla $28,218 CAD OTD
2023 Mirage GT $ 25,817 OTD
