Mitubishi Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution(RISE) did good

Sadly our 2021 G4 played tapout with a deer at about 50 yesterday. Mitubishi did good and the crew were A OK so thats all that matters. this was at about 50 mph. I hope to never need to go up against say a 45k lbs. dump truck but the little gas sipper's CRUMPLE ZONES did great at redirecting and absorbing all the energy. well find out this week what will happen. Would i buy a nother one 100% yes this A to B car has been great to us . Thank you for reading.

Glad no one was hurt, except the deer & car.

Hopefully, your G4 can be repaired.

So sorry to hear this, I can relate. Did the airbags deploy? If so, it'll probably be written off. Either way, I hope your insurance takes care of you.

Not to sound dumb, ignorant or anything but I really want to know. do deer typically come out of nowhere, even at night? I have never seen one in person despite driving 1000 miles in just 18 hours non stop from LA to Helena, MT 10 years ago. Guess im lucky?

Yeah deer are really stupid. I often see them the most often at dusk and night. It's as though they're attracted to headlights.

Yes, they will appear out of nowhere. This is pre-rut season, which means bucks have sex on the brain right now. Thus, deer collisions go up this time of the year. I stopped for bucks along the road within 200 yards of my driveway in the past week. I hit the brakes for deer all the time. I've hit three in my lifetime. One reason I gave up motorcycles, too.

Deer have superior night vision, & bright lights probably blind & confuse them even more.
