Gas attendant broke my fuel door!

This is why I hate full serve gas stations. I pulled up to the pump and the asshat attendant snapped my fuel door open before I had pulled the little lever. He filled up the car and slammed it shut, now it won't open. People suck!

What an asshat. Is there anyway to prove that it was him?

Unfortunately no. Anybody have the repair manual pages? I can open it as long as someone else is pulling the handle inside the car. Is there a spring?

I looked up the gas door assembly for my Mirage, & it lists the parts. Not sure what you need, however?

I don't blame you for being mad. Does the guy carry a crowbar in his pocket when putting gas in cars?

Contact a dealer, it might be covered under warranty.

They have a small pry bar that they use if the door is frozen.

    That sucks!

Can't say anyone has ever put gas in my Mirage, but me. Now, I appreciate self-serve even more.

If they used a pry bar it should be on security camera. Fuel pumps are very well monitored.
I would go after the store publicly on social media. See about getting the security footage. Sometimes a police report is enough to have the cops go pull the security footage.

When my non-expensive bicycle was stolen I didn't expect more than a police report. But they actually went to the location and pulled the security tapes and found my bike.

Nope, wife said "Forget it we will just get it fixed". I was about to blow a gasket and make a scene and the better half prevailed. We had stuff to do and daylight was burning. It's just irritating when people don't care about other people's stuff. Yes it's cold out, sure you want to get the job done and get back in the warm hut, but you signed up for the job knowing full well it was outdoors in all weather conditions. I'll sort it out one way or another, better than an assault charge
