    Tire Rack - Good News!

I was shopping around for wheels for my car and it looks like Tire Rack has recently cataloged proper tire pressure sensors for the Mirage! (as recently as 2 weeks ago, the last time I checked) You can now buy a set of new wheels without swapping sensors and allow a shop to legally install the wheels and/or mount tires locally if you so choose.

This is great news, since TPMS is mandatory for all 2008-up cars and some regions will fail your inspection for not having a functioning TPMS. And no more annoying TPMS light!

Cool stuff, that is good to know. I didn't know you could fail inspection for no TPMS in places, thats a bit overkill IMO... Then again I think TPMS is overkill... But I also know 50%+ of drivers run around on under inflated tires.

Well, I've had four instances where a TPMS light saved my bacon. It's perfect for when you've got that low leak that takes a couple of days to show noticeably on the tires; I only check my pressures once a week and I've had multiple instances where a tiny puncture resulted in a slow leakdown. As soon as tire pressure is down to 27 PSI, the light kicks on.
