Time to show your keyring - Oh the horros

Ok gang, some of us have tried in vain to reduce our key count to no avail. It doesn't help that the factory key from Mitsubishi is enormous to begin with. I never put my keys in my pocket, it's not practical. As you see I use a beener and clip it to a dedicated loop on my cargos, which I'm guilty of wearing all the time unless I'm doing something fancier. Without further delay, here's my ring Name: IMG_20230122_120710.jpg

The old-school diamond shape key fob as a design flaw of the top part by the ring, snapping off. There's a whole Reddit thread of it on the Mirage group.

Nothing to look at really. I don’t particularly like key fobs. Way too bulky.

Looks like a good fix. I have a 1/2 busted Diamond key myself to fix.

I have one driver that keeps doing that to their keys. 2 different 2015 Mirage's this has happened to. They just came up to me today with the same thing again...

My Mirage key hasn't changed from the moment the WB salesman handed it to me in my kitchen.

I apparently don't even modify my key ring. How lame is that?

Ooof. Yeah, I am very OCD about key rings.

I have owned multiple vehicles since I was a young adult. Sometimes, it was as few as two, other times as many as six. Early on, I had a single big key ring with a key and/or fob for each car I owned as well as house keys, a small flashlight, sports team key chains, etc. That is, until about 2006 when that key ring was stolen while I was out and about one day. They tried to steal the car, too, but fortunately it was a manual! Not only did I lose the key to the car I was driving at the time, but also all the keys to the cars I wasn't driving at the time. One of the keys that was stolen happened to be the only copy I had. Once my rage subsided, I decided each car I owned would have its own key ring from then on. I would make multiple copies of each of the other keys I might need when I left my house, but the keys to all of the other cars I wasn't driving were going to stay safely at home on individual key rings.

Since I had so many cars, so many key rings, and I replaced them so often, I got into the habit of buying key chains which featured the model and/or manufacturer of the car/truck they went with so I could grab the right set quickly. Here are the keys for my BMW X3.

And for my old Ford F150, nicknamed 'Artoo' for reasons that would be obvious if you saw it.

Last, but not least, the keys for my Mirage.

I have other key rings and key chains right now as well, but you get the idea.
