I've been thinking about the same thing. I saw one on the road like that, it wasn't bad.

Steel wheels look good with a new glossy black paint job and some chrome lug nuts.

You just reminded me why I haven't done it in the past. The factory lug nuts aren't a good look!

I wonder if we can find some big long spikey chrome lugnuts, you know like you see on semi's. That would be badass.

You can find 21mm spike lugnut covers on Amazon and Ebay.

I feel the same way except knowing that the hubcaps help the Mirage being more aerodynamic for MPG purposes than without it. Idk how much but it is functional.
That sort of the reason why I removed my aftermarket. Maybe I should get a black hubcaps after all.

In all honesty, my black steel rims don't look all that great any more. I have 7 factory wheel covers (picked up some free ones from a kind forum member last year).

I don't think Mitsubishi puts much thought, time, & energy into the Mirage. I base all that on wheel covers. They're going on 7 model years (2017, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23) with the exact same style plastic wheel covers!!!

If it ain't broke...They've basically kept the car the same since it first came to market in 2012 was it, maybe they're waiting for the 2026 refresh?
