I guess I spent too much time as a security guard on the midnight shift. None of this , including the swaying building, would phase me in the least. I used to eat my lunch at 3am on top of the water tower in the summer. It swayed in the wind. Shaped like a golf ball on a tee.

Well the cool factor of that is insane.

As a summer student I was assigned to a crew doing a shaft inspection of a gold mine. I wasn't supposed to do that according to the union and health and safety but when they told me there was 5,400 feet of air beneath my feet I flipped out. I ended up working another job, another town, nothing to do with mining.

Great to see your post! When it comes to my go-to online places, besides Mirageforum, I'd say Amazon is a top pick for all my shopping needs.

These are the only two websites I usually visit these days.

toonamiaftermath.com - 24/7 streaming website with a forum and IRC chat dedicated to late 90s/early 2000s programming from Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and MTV.

accesstoinsight.org - an online repository of translated Theravada Buddhist scripture into English. I've been reading this site since 2007

And that's it aside from MirageForum and shopping sites. I was on twitter for 10 years from 2011-2021 but got very burned out on how the attitude of users on the site progressed. Had nothing to do with Elon and I lol'd when I heard he bought it after I left. Reactionary content has been heavily promoted and encouraged over the last few years. I can't be bothered with either side of the political fire at this point in my life, especially not enough to type into the void about it on friggin' Twitter.

Forums have been the best and most engaging way to connect to people with similar hobbies from my experience. I still talk to my Serbian buddy from MangaFox to this day, its been 13 years.

Next, I would say Discord then Instagram. Every other platform like Twitter, Youtube and FaceBook have too much drama.

This site looks good, thanks for the suggestion. I used to have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler a while back, I just read through the article/guide/how-to on replacing the oil cooler/oil filter housing. Man we as humans design some pretty dumb things sometimes…
