Thoughts on the "Pedal Commander"?

I recently came across this mod on a Venue forum. Its called a pedal commander and claims to "remove the acceleration lag from your gas pedal" and "improve gas mileage, with ECO mode, you can increase your MPG up to 20%"

They have a model for the Mirage. I suspect that the mileage claim for Mirage isn't really applicable, since those are blanket statements and probably refers to their truck and SUV models (ick). I am interested in the other claims, especially if it adds a kind of "Sport mode" to my 2014, like the similar device from this thread.

For anyone wondering, the 2017 and newer automatic mirages have an additional shifter position called "Ds" which is a sport mode that has a similar effect to this aftermarket part WEXX mentioned.

Anyone have any insight to devices like this? Seems too close to "this small simple device will save you 90% on gas and convert your car to a electric hydrogen car with a jet engine, buy it now before the government and big gas make it illegal" kind of energy.

Here is the post from the venue forum in question, these are the exact situations I have issues with acceleration and throttling in the car seeming to cap out.
