    MPH history?

I'm interested in knowing the back story behind MPH. How did it come to be? Who are the founding players? What took you so long??

    --

MirageForum's story is pretty straightforward: Tim (Daox) and I have known each other for years through other car forums. I'm big fuel efficiency nerd who loves small cars (I will let Tim describe himself in his own words if he wishes, but they might be similar, plus also a "performance" modding background).

When we discovered the Mirage's excellent specs, the immediate reaction was "WE HAVE TO MAKE A FORUM FOR THIS CAR!!" I think it was online the next day.

This was before we were even certain that Mitsu was going to use the name "Mirage" here, and it was also before it was fully released in other English-speaking countries -- Australia, New Zealand, Europe/U.K., etc.

I was a little surprised that MPH didn't already exist, considering how popular the Mirage is in the Philippines and that it had been available for many months. Yet coincidentally both our forums started up within about a week of each other.

    Darin

Another MPHer here. And my wife signed up as well.

The Mirage is fast gaining a peculiar reputation in MPH. That is, "Cheap to buy but expensive to modify".

Did you try to contact shark accessories sir? I think their eyelids cost less than cliffords. Costs only pesos 1000 here, thats probably less than aud 30 (excluding shipping).

This is their mirage with all the kits they are selling.

MPH has been around for sometime and a lot of us lurk around here. MirageAsti and another guy lurking around here (still have to figure out his username here) would probably be the best sources for a bit of MPH history.

If you want to know a bit of what MPH is all about you can have a sneak preview here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtvvB507CwI. This was our AVP for our anniversary last January.
