It looks pretty good to me from here, but I believe the trans should be at operating temp with the engine running in park to get an accurate reading. I think a lot of people do the fluid & filters around the 50,000 mile mark. Hang on & the transmission people will be here soon to help.
I didn't know what to do, so I didn't do anything

I think it looks ok, but I would service the fluid and at least the external filter every 30,000 miles.

That fluid looks clean. I wouldn't worry about changing it for another 10k miles.

If it's the factory fluid(at least in the North American market) it should be pretty clear with a green tinge. Maybe they put brown oil in the cvt's over there? I'd change it, at least do a drop and fill(pull the plug and refill 2.5L).

Dear Fan, thank you for your support. Miles OK but what about the date? I mean 8 years is it OK?

Tranny fluid is not like oil or coolant. It needs changing mostly because fine ground bits are in the fluid and they will do damage if not removed. But time is irrelevant. It's the mileage and type of driving. The fluid looks fine to me.

Is it normal where you live? to find 8 year old cars with 22,000 miles on them?

Are there daily commuters over there driving 3-500 miles a week to and from work?

You are supposed to check fluid level when fluid temps are between 50°C and 80°C. Check only when engine running and also shift into every gear (P,R,N,D,Ds,L) before shifting into P or N to get an accurate reading.

Also the trans fluid looks cleaner on the dipstick than what it actually is. If you drain the fluid you will see that it looks not as clean as seen on the dipstick. I would change it If it looks as brownish like in the pictures.

CVTs have a dip-stick? Wish the 5MT had one too...
