I assume you mean that un-staking the axle nut was a pain in the butt?

They do make a specific tool for this and it works really well. One example is the Matco MST6438-2. Place this tool in the groove on the axle, hit it with a 3-lb sledge hammer a couple of times, and the axle nut is ready to remove. No doinking around with chisels that don't fit or trying to do it with a screwdriver.

Overall it took me about a day and a half to do the replacement, only because I was taking time. I got the transmission out and the replacement in on the same day.

I think you were hauling ass. There's no way I could do it that quickly. Not even close.

Car is finished, well almost. I didn't won't to drive it home when I finished the swap, so I waited until this past weekend to test drive and make sure everything was good. I drove it back home and it made the 2 hour trip with no issues. Here's a picture of the process, thought I could Deebo the transmission back in by myself but it wore me out. Had to request help.

Paid $1500 for the car with 71K on it, $400 for the transmission, $275 for Passenger Door and $200 for a set of headlights. Still need a few misc items but I'll be getting those from the Pull a Part.
