I assume you mean that un-staking the axle nut was a pain in the butt?
They do make a specific tool for this and it works really well. One example is the Matco MST6438-2. Place this tool in the groove on the axle, hit it with a 3-lb sledge hammer a couple of times, and the axle nut is ready to remove. No doinking around with chisels that don't fit or trying to do it with a screwdriver.
