    Budget OBD 2 reader recommendations.

    Hello,

I know alot of people on the forum run budget(cheap) elm 327 style scanners. I was wondering if any of these scanners and/or their associated apps are able to read/clear abs, air bag codes and/or if any of these apps are able to read transmission codes/temperature?

I know CVTz50 has been mentioned on the forum in the past.

I'm interested in a cheap but fairly full feature code reader myself.

Why not consider Scangauge? I got me scangauge eco just for the graph alone. I love it even though SGII has more info.

I don't think mine does. I have a scangauge, I forget the model, likely the 2. It's pretty limited in what it monitors.

I've been using this X60 HUD for a bit now, it's been holding up fine. It can display many of the OBDII data fields and you can customize the order that they are displayed for whatever you prioritize. I've got mine set to coolant temp by default, and I've got it set to beep if temps climb over 205 F. You can also set an RPM limit warning to make it function as an audible shift light.

    It's a neat little unit for ~$40.
