Exclamation Limp Mode (Erratic Idle) (Help Needed)

Hi, so this is the second time that the car has gone into LIMP mode with the error code (p2135).
Both the time the car has been in rain overnight. Now i have checked out the engine bay the there is no water leaking into any sensor or throttle.

The car after a few mins becomes normal, starts picking acceleration.
However, i do wonder if this problem is because of the cool air that gets into the engine because of a sensor which i believe is not OEM.

Sharing the picture of both the scanner and the sensor below.

I think you circled the MAF sensor and not the throttle body. The throttle body is the metal thing with the two black coolant hoses in the bottom right of your photo.

Have you tried cleaning the throttle body?

Yeah, that sensor might be aftermarket but it's not going to cause that code. Code is for throttle body or throttle pedal. If the throttle valve is sticking, that might cause it. Cleaning is worth a shot.

As for that maf sensor not working properly, I had one that wasn't reading ambient air temps properly causing it to run like crap and hard to start when cold or hot(I forgot which). It didn't throw a code but was easy to see while monitoring ambient air temp on the scanner. It was nowhere near actual outside temps. Or maybe it was reading air intake temps, I really can't recall. Either way it wasn't displaying accurately. I think there might be a seperate air temp sensor on the bumper rebar??

    Hi, thanks for the reply.
When the car was in LIMP mode I connected the ODB2 scanner to check out the values of various sensors and one thing i found quite surprising was the throttle position. It was constant at 15.69 percent no matter how much i pressed the pedal. The RPM would go up till 2000 cuz it was in LIMP mode but the throttle position was constant.

I was getting the following readings.
    Throttle Position = 15.69 %
    1. Absolute throttle position B = 18%
    2. Absolute throttle position D = 22%
    3. Absolute throttle position E = 11%
    4. Relative throttle position = 8%
    5. intake air temperature = 37 C
    6. MAF air flow rate = 3.96 g/sec at 1953 RPM
    7. O2 sensor 1 = 0.4 V
    8. Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure = 34 kPa at 1953 RPM

The issue was resolved after i got the throttle body cleaned.
