The bottom lights are the fogs and I will figure out how to turn these lights on and the headlights on at the same time!
Can you check if the relay for the fogs is present?

Back in my TDI New Beetle days, it was common practice to run with the parking brake lever set at 1 click... not enough to engage the brake, but just enough to turn off the DRLs

The corner yellow light should be a parking light and tied to your rear parking lights. When your "DRL lights" are on. Are there any lights in the rear also on?
please consider checking out my Mirage related youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6c...IEViRFw/videos

    Hi all,

Slammed with work right now, I will take all the above advice and report back when I have a sunday at mechanic shop.
Thank you for the wiring diagrams.

I finally had our 2023 SE Mirage in the shop. I forgot to look and see if it has 2 bulbs in the housings. Oddly enough the fog lights don't work....They're just used as DRL.

Can confirm on 2023 mirage ES (Canada version):

    1. There are fog lights
    2. There are daytime running lights
    3. Headlights and fog lights cannot be turned on at the same time
    4. Fog lights are on when headlights are off and daytime running lights are on
    5. Headlights will automatically turn on at night even if the stalk is set to off

Going forward I am trying to modify:

    1. Enabling the fog lights and headlights at the same time
    2. Making the "off" setting on the headlight stalk actually turn the lights off in the dark

Have aquired the xhorse cable and will try the mmcodingwriter tool, this is stuff I will only attempt in the shop so likely in the summertime.

Kicking a dead horse here. I get reading old threads is boring but it can save a lot of time and pointless threads...If you have a GT, then you have fog lights and yes, you can turn the fog lights and headlights on at the same time. If you don't have a GT then the daytime running lights are the fog lights. You might be able to enable fog lights, again.

    Good luck with your quest.

On a completely unrelated note, the forum has the ignore feature, which sometimes comes in quite handy

I don't know why you remained confused about this?

Your ES does not have fog lights, but you keep insisting that it does.

The ES (base) trim level does not come with fog lights as standard equipment. Fog lamps are clearly listed as standard equipment for the other trim levels.

Fog lights are designed to work in unison with low beam headlights. Having the fog lights that automatically go off while on high beam would not be surprising, however.

In some states here, it would be illegal to drive at night with fog lights alone. They are a supplement to your low beams in fog. Thus, I can't imagine any car company adding fog lamps that couldn't be used in unison with low beam headlights.

Everything you have shared clearly indicates that you only have DRL that would go off when your headlights are turned on.

DRL are mandatory in Canada, & you Mirage must have them. Our base level Mirages don't have DRL or fog lamps. The fog light receptacle area is covered with solid plastic. Since we don't have DRLs, adding fog lights may be easier for us. The switch for them is found in all trim levels.

If you were to get your DRLs to work in unison with your headlights, that doesn't change the fact that you still don't have fog lights.

I don't get it either. Some posts have me questioning whether they're legit or just trolling.
