Three years ago, I bought my Mitsubishi Mirage from a car dealership in California. I am from Canada, and I was shocked by the high price difference between cars in America and Canada.

Which was higher 3 years ago? Right now it looks like the Canada version is quite a bit cheaper.

I see this repeated a lot too.

One source explained it thusly: if you compare actual average transaction costs of the 2 cars (what people actually pay, not MSRP), the Mirage is cheaper.

I also thought the over-the-top writing stuck out a bit... I honestly wondered if it was AI generated.

Especially when it contains the following 2 sentences:

The engine, a tiny but tenacious mouse, provides just enough oomph to merge onto highways without causing a fuss.
And a couple of paragraphs later...

...with only 78 horsepower it struggles to do relatively basic tasks such as merging onto the interstate.
    Huh?

Versa and spark use the same breaky jatco cvt as the Mirage. I heard the same thing about Versa's. We had a 2014 Spark that went through 2 cvt's before 100k kms. I think lack of maintenance and having more power are factors.

It's the MOAR POWRS for sure... I remember the dreaded 8 months or so I owned a CVT Mirage... the 3A92 felt like it was trying its hardest to kill the CVT every day. It hated being attached to it so that it was actively sabotaging it's own livelihood in the car. Because the mere dream of being a backup engine for a 5MT car someday was worth cutting its own legs off to spite its face.

At least that's how I understood it at least...
