Push Start button and Engine start sound

Hi

Just recenly i have encountered whenever i try to use the push start button it doesnt work at all. I have to press several times for it to work.

Then whenever it works, upon start it makes the sound same as in the video. The video is not mine.
But mine is from totally off, the sound only happens upon pressing then trying to start.


Any idea what can be the cause?

What they said. There were a few reports of some 2014's (manual and cvt) having the teeth get chewed off the flywheel.

I've been lucky with mine. It still has the original starter and I'm pretty sure I reused the old 14' flywheel when I replaced the engine.
Hopefully you can get away with just replacing the starter if the flywheel isn't too trashed.

ok sorry for the late update
i dont know but its gone now.
what I did is i cleanup the push button, i removed it and cleaned the contacts inside.
move to 5:30 to see how to remove and clean it


i don't know what's the relation but its starting up normally again after cleaning but i swear its the same sound it made before i clean the button.
