    Fummins New Career?

    Fummins -

Seems like you might have started your new job / career by now. Tell us how it's going. And without you at your old job, are the "hooped?"

So good so far. Major change, that’s for sure. It’s going good, taking a bit to figure out how to work on non-mirages again. It’s nice to work on other stuff. Gonna learn how to rebuild transmissions, diffs and ac. It’s a small but really well equipped shop. And surprisingly busy.
Old work is fine. I left in good terms. I don’t know what there plan is, I might get called to work weekends? But I’ve been busy camping the last 2 and am headed out again Friday night for one last chance to wreck more chit on my side by side. I broke a wheel last week, then broke a rack and pinion the next day. I have 5000km/3000ish miles on our 4 y/o Kawasaki now.

Probably won’t be doing videos at work but I have a pile of stuff from the fleet and do the odd job at home still.

Thanks! No not banned. I forgot I did that.

I found a job ad from my old work, they’re offering $5/hr more than my base pay was… fukers. Oh well, I prefer working at this current place. So far.

You should send in your application back to your old place anyway. Just for chits-n-giggles!

Not for another $5/hr. Double that, and only when they beg.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't think Fummins is on the website as much with his new job!

He could be just bored with us, too?

I don't take it personally either way!

Thanks Wally! I learned a lot about these turds over the years and hopefully helped some people out. I don't get on here as often as I used to but I'll check in when I can. I still have my black turd-mobile.

A friend of mine suggested the same thing. I would only re-apply just to fak with them, I don't want to burn too many bridges but offering more money to after I left was a kick in the balls...Mods, if you could ban my old work ip address that'd be awesome lol I don't want to make it too easy for the next guy...

Agreed. But I'm way happier where I'm at now, but I was when I started at the old place originally too. So far I haven't made a change that didn't work out for the best. I did have my doubts a time or two though.

Not bored with you guys at all! I've been busy the last few weeks! My last week of work at the old place was busy trying to help sort out loose ends. My last day of work was the 16th then I had vacation booked the following week. Got home the 25th and scrambled to be ready for new job the following day. Worked one week at new job then went camping again last weekend with some friends. Just stuffed the side by side in the back of the dodge and took off Friday night to find some friends that left the day before.

Had another great trip, just packed 2 1/2 24's of beer, a pack of smokies, lunch meat and a loaf of bread lol It was one of the most memorable trips yet. Met some folks broke down on the way home in the middle of bf nowhere and spent 4-5hrs getting them back on the road. Made some great new friends out of the ordeal. If you own a chevy truck that has a secondary lock on the spare tire carrier, do yourself a favor and delete that crap now... The carrier secondary lock seized up and 2 mechanics that stopped couldn't figure it out, I rolled up like king chit of turd island and got their spare down for them(had to pull the carrier mechanism out with the spare intact...major pita! Then they had another blow out 10 mins later. Long story, long day. Totally worth it. It feels good to help people out.

I won't be on here nearly as often as I'd like to but I'll try to check in when I can. I'll try to set up my turd pail gmail account(it's posted on the youtubes somewhere) to my phone one of these days so I get notifications. Right now I just check those ones once a month or whenever I remember to.

What you said about that spare tire......my *new* 2011 Sierra, replaced my Tacoma last year.
I found the lock you described while going over it last spring and got 3 skips tossing it into the lake.
Then found the plastic guide tube had become detached from the chain hoist, lotsa fun getting the crank handle into that!
    Doused it with chain lube.
I'd like to kick the GM engineer that thunk that up right in his gooseberries.....
It's nice to get out, I managed 3 trips this year.
