Or maybe they're including repair costs, in which case the Mirage wins. I know it's not stated that way, but it should be. Everyone knows the Mirage is the better value.

I really like this article. Some of the language is a bit over-the-top, but I enjoyed that, and I think they understood why there's people that really like this car. The final paragraph really hits the nail on the head - it's one of the very few vehicles that pushes against the ever-increasing bloat and frills-for-the-sake-of-frills in the US vehicle market.
