    First Mitsubishi

    Hello all..
    Signing in from ON Canada.
Bought my Mirage on Feb 28 this year and have been impressed overall so far.

2014 Mitsu Mirage currently at 3200 km.
So far impressed by this little car.

    Welcome, Ichabod!

Which trim and transmission did you get? What were you driving before?

I just spoke to my aunt in T.B. about 20 minutes ago. She says despite the ~2 ft. of snow remaining in her front yard, there are sure signs of spring in the air ... it's coming. (And with it, even better fuel economy for your Mirage.)

Glad to have you on the forum.

    - Darin

    Thanks for the welcome Darin.
I've got the SE model with convenience package and CVT trans in a plain white wrapper.
A big step up in economy from my Jeep Liberty and Hyundai Entourage minivan.

Hi Ichabod, welcome to the forum. I hope you will like it here as you will like your "little miracle" as I call this car.
This car always puts a smile on my face when fuelling .... hahahahahaha .... I just refuelled my Galant for 54 liters and I frown, yesterday fuelled my mirage for 22 liters to the max with around the same distance travelled ....

    Welcome Ichabod,
Have you driven in any snow? How did it perform?

I have in fact, a lot of it. We have had several noteable storms since I bought the car.
Due to the winter being almost over I did not get snow tires but am running on the stock all-seasons and have not had any issues. The last storm dropped about 8" of heavy wet snow on us leaving the roads covered with deep rutted slush which the car handled very well. I did lose a little fuel economy due to the heavy push but never once lost traction or felt unsure.
The narrow tires are able to cut through snow and slush to find solid ground, while the judicious delivery of power doesn't readily break traction by spinning the tires.
This makes the car very even tempered and non abrupt which is perfect for winter driving.

    Will weld for beer.
