    Oh must be why they asked me what a majority of my driving is. Dealer told me 7500 but thats because all my driving is highway. even on first change.

    I haven't had a dealer talk about break in oil for years.

    Improved manufacturing probably makes this a thing of the past...

    I gave mine its first change at 650, with me driving it for 310 of those. I was thinking I'd see metal and junk in the old oil, but it was just slightly brownish with no visible metal flecks. Then again, I didn't collect it into a clear container for inspection like I should have, but it's changed anyway. Left the filter alone.

    I would have changed the filter out... You were already down there...

    I get two free oil changes at the dealership, so I'll go ahead and have them do it later on.
