Exclamation SRS warning light stays ON

    Hello,

I have a red warning light that wont switch off. It is supposedly linked to the safety restraint system and I cannot figure out, why it would suddenly come on.

    Did you encounter similar issues?

    thx for your thoughts

I'd make an appointment at your dealer to have that fixed. I'm sure that'll be covered under warranty.

That light could mean that your airbags will not deploy in a crash.

Posting here to agree with @fifteenwindow. Get that car to the dealership NOW.

Mine lights up constantly as well but it's the x2 one that symbolizes the rear seat (It notices my daughters car seat that I've got strapped in super tight (another reason I love this car is the three latch car restraint!)

I took my Mirage to the dealer and they reset the SRS error code after a one hour service. They told me that there was a computer misfire causing this error but they didn't know whether the airbags would have been working in case of an accident. Maybe it happened due to bump starting attempts...

Hope it stays off for you.

I take mine in for a nav system transplant next Monday. Mic wasn't working on current one and is built into the nac unit, requiring the entire unit be swapped out.

The SRS light came on again! Darn.

I will have to see the dealership again tomorrow. This is so annoying.

Do you have a clue why the SRS warning light can be missfired?

    thx for your thoughts.

    All the best

Once again, the dealer reset the SRS light, but after a couple of engine restarts it came on again.

The technical staff at the dealership will now have to replace a sensor and test whether the misfiring SRS warning light will stop.

Hope you guys have properly working computers and sensors in your Mirages.

I had a dead microphone on my navigation unit. Swapped out and the new one works perfectly.

That has been the only issue I have had with mine. No squeeks or rattles and everything works as intended.

With our pot holed roads, believe me I'd know if there were any rattles in the car!
